Building Better Mobility Through Communities

Mobility problems are rarely solved by technology alone. They also depend on infrastructure, coordination, trust and how people actually move through their communities.
That thinking is behind J-Pool, Eykegai UK’s community-focused mobility platform.
J-Pool is currently being piloted in Aberdeen, where we’re working with communities to explore how existing journeys can be better coordinated and shared — rather than treating every journey as an individual trip.
The Aberdeen pilots are an important part of how we are building J-Pool. They give us the opportunity to put the product in the hands of real communities, understand how people use it, measure what works, and learn what mobility infrastructure needs to look like around shared journeys.
This work builds on the experience of our Co-founder and Head of Operations, Ugochi, whose journey across technology, mobility, operations and product has consistently centred on solving practical problems and building systems that work in the real world.
Her journey was recently featured by Proudly Black and Scottish, offering a closer look at the experiences that have shaped this approach.
For J-Pool, that approach is now being put into practice in Aberdeen — building here, learning with communities, and developing mobility infrastructure around how people actually move.
